
NSHS Agriculture Department was selected to participate in the Native Plant Propagation Program.






Congratulations to the 69 students that earned CTE credentials during the first semester of 23/24. Many of them were able to join in a “certification celebration” as a reward for their hard work on the following certifications: ANSI accredited Food Handler (Mrs. Heath’s Food & Nutrition I classes); First Aid (Mrs. Duggins’ Health Science I class); Basic Life Support, OSHA and Stop the Bleed (Mrs. Moorefield’s Health Science II class); Nurse Aide (Mrs. Moorefield’s Nursing Fundamental class); ASE entry-level Maintenance and Light Repair, ASE entry-level Brakes and ASE professional Auto Maintenance and Light Repair G1 (Mr. Spencer’s Automotive Service II and III classes).

Stokes County Schools 2024 Spelling Bee Winner is Makenzie Farmer Ragland representing Chestnut Grove Middle School. The runner-up is Nolan Young representing Walnut Cove Elementary.
