They created homemade cinnamon rolls from scratch, learning valuable hands-on skills in measuring, mixing, kneading, and baking. This activity wasn’t just delicious—it was educational, helping students understand the science behind yeast dough and the importance of following multi-step recipes.
Working together in the kitchen also encouraged teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. The warm aroma of cinnamon and sugar filled the room, making the experience feel extra cozy and perfect for the Christmas season.
We’re proud of their hard work—and even prouder of how they support one another as they learn!

Thanks for helping us wrap things up smoothly! 💻✨

This afternoon, our students enjoyed a special Christmas Movie Showcase! They were given the choice of four festive movies—Home Alone, Elf, The Grinch, or The Santa Clause—each playing in different “studios” across the school.
To make the afternoon even sweeter, students were treated to hot cocoa and their choice of delicious cookies while they watched. Nothing like warm treats and holiday classics to kick off the Christmas spirit! ❤️💚
A big thank you to our staff for creating such a cozy and memorable experience for our students.

Representatives from the NC State Employees' Credit Union visited Mr. Wise’s Economics and Personal Finance classes this week, giving students a hands-on look at real-world money management.
During the session, students built their own budgets and explored how to balance fixed and variable expenses—including student loans, groceries, clothing, car payments, and housing costs. They also learned how credit scores impact the cars and homes they can qualify for, as well as the benefits and risks of using credit cards.
This valuable program helped students understand how smart decisions today can shape their financial futures.
A huge thank you to the SECU team from the King branch for investing in Stokes County students and supporting financial literacy in our schools! 🙌💳📊

The Fellowship of Christian Students gathered in the media center this morning for a special Christmas devotional. Neal Marshall shared an uplifting message from Isaiah 9:2, 6, a passage that beautifully points to the birth of Jesus and the hope He brings to the world.
Students reflected on the prophecy that “the people walking in darkness have seen a great light” and the promise of a child who would be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. As we move deeper into the Christmas season, it was a meaningful reminder of the true reason we celebrate—Christ’s light, peace, and everlasting joy.
We are grateful for this time of fellowship, and for everyone who joined us to start the day centered on faith and the message of Christmas. 🌟🎄✨
Next week FCS will meet in the gym.
