💙💛 Vikings Serving with Heart 💛💙

This weekend, our incredible North Stokes Beta Club students spent their time giving back to the community by volunteering at the Foster Closet Clothing Sale.

The Foster Closet is such a special organization, providing clothing, toys, and other essential items free of charge to families with foster children in our community. Their semi-annual sale helps fund additional projects that support foster families and ensure children in care have access to the items they need.

We are so proud of our Vikings for stepping up to serve others with compassion, kindness, and a true servant’s heart. Choosing to spend their weekend helping others speaks volumes about their character and the values they represent.

North Stokes is more than a school — we are a family that believes in lifting others up. 💙

Keep up the amazing work, Vikings! Your community is better because of you.

💙💛 A Bittersweet Goodbye from North Stokes High School 💛💙

Today, we send our love, gratitude, and very best wishes to Ms. Clifton as she begins a new chapter as Interim Principal at Germanton Elementary.

While we are so incredibly proud of her and this exciting opportunity, it is hard to put into words just how much she will be missed here at North Stokes. Her dedication to our students, her steady leadership, her encouragement to staff, and the countless quiet moments of support she has given behind the scenes have made a lasting impact on our Viking family.

Ms. Clifton has been more than an administrator — she has been a listener, a cheerleader, a problem-solver, and a constant source of positivity. Our halls will not feel quite the same without her warm presence and unwavering belief in our students.

Germanton Elementary is gaining a phenomenal leader, and we know she will pour her heart into that school just as she has here.

Please join us in wishing Ms. Clifton good luck and best wishes as she begins this new journey. Once a Viking, always a Viking — and you will always have a home here at North Stokes. 💙

💙✨ Happy National School Social Work Week! ✨💙

This week, we proudly celebrate the heart, compassion, and dedication of our amazing school social workers at North Stokes High School!

School social worker, Jeana Barneycastle, makes a difference every single day — supporting our students, encouraging families, solving problems, and reminding everyone that they are seen, heard, and valued. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, connecting families with resources, or helping students navigate challenges, their impact reaches far beyond the classroom.

Thank you for being an advocate, encourager, problem-solver, and champion for our Vikings! 💛

🎖️ The "Wise" Collaboration: North Stokes Meets Piney Grove Middle!

Piney Grove Middle School students recently participated in an engaging two-day Civil War program that brought North Carolina history out of the textbook and into real life!

📚 Day One: Students attended an in-depth presentation on North Carolina’s role in the Civil War. They learned about the state’s soldiers, key battles, and how the war impacted communities across our state.

🪖 Day Two: Students took their learning outdoors and experienced a hands-on demonstration of how soldiers marched and advanced in a line of battle as a company. They practiced discipline, teamwork, and coordination—just as Civil War soldiers would have done.

And rumor has it… Mr. Wise may have been recruited for this mission by his wife to ensure middle schoolers had the full historical experience. 😉 We appreciate the teamwork at home and at school!

Experiential learning like this makes history memorable, meaningful, and maybe just a little more entertaining!

🔬🐔 Learning in Action at North Stokes High School! 🐔🔬

Students in Animal Science II participated in a hands-on lab today, dissecting chicken wings to better understand the skeletal and muscular systems.

This engaging activity allowed students to:
• Explore how bones and muscles work together
• Identify key anatomical structures
• Apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting

At North Stokes, we believe meaningful learning happens when students can see and experience concepts firsthand. Great job to our Animal Science students!

❤️ FCS Meeting – Rooted in Love ❤️

Our Fellowship of Christian Students met today, and we were blessed to have Neal Marshall share a powerful message on Romans 8:35–39 and Ephesians 3:16–21.

He reminded our students that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ and encouraged them to be rooted and grounded in love — love that is wide, long, high, and deep. 💙

In a world that can sometimes feel uncertain, today’s message was a beautiful reminder that we are strengthened from within and surrounded by a love that never fails.

Thank you, Neal, for pouring into our students and encouraging them to live boldly and love deeply.

National Honor Society Officers 🌟

👏 2025–2026 NHS Officers

⭐ Arianna Tynio – President

⭐ Gavin Hernandez – Vice President

⭐ Daisy Collins – Secretary

Please join us in congratulating these outstanding student leaders! We are proud of their commitment to excellence and service at North Stokes High School.

💙 What Is National Honor Society (NHS)?

The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization that recognizes high school students who demonstrate excellence in four key areas:

📚 Scholarship

Students maintain a strong academic record and show dedication to learning.

🤝 Service

Members give back to their school and community through volunteer work and service projects.

🏫 Leadership

Students serve as role models, take initiative, and positively influence others.

💡 Character

Members demonstrate integrity, responsibility, respect, and strong moral values.

🌟 Why NHS Matters

NHS encourages students to grow not only academically, but also as leaders and active community members. Through service projects, school involvement, and leadership opportunities, students develop skills that prepare them for college, careers, and life beyond high school.

At North Stokes High School, our NHS chapter works to make a difference in our school and community — showing what it truly means to be a Viking leader.

💙 Congratulations again to our officers! We look forward to an incredible year of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
