The permission slip below was handed today, April 23, for the Cap & Gown Parade on May 2. It must be signed and returned by April 30. Important dates and events are listed below the permission slip.

To: Parents/Guardians of our Senior Class
On Friday, May 2nd, our seniors are invited to participate in a Cap & Gown Parade and a picnic lunch at Hanging Rock State Park. The Cap & Gown Parade is an exciting opportunity to celebrate your child’s upcoming graduation and revisit where their journey first began. We will begin the day traveling via activity bus to Nancy Reynolds Elementary and Sandy Ridge Elementary Schools. After visiting these two schools we will then travel to Hanging Rock where we will be having lunch. We realize some of the senior class did not get to attend either of these two schools but we want to encourage all seniors to participate. This is a wonderful time for seniors to celebrate together as a class.
North Stokes students will depart from North Stokes between 8:30-8:45 am. The students will attend the Cap & Gown Parade and lunch and then return to North Stokes.
Permission slips must be returned by Wednesday, April 30th to Mrs. Moorefield or Mrs. Mabe.
There is no cost for your child to attend. The permission slip must be returned, and your student must have their cap & gown on and ready to leave on time. Students will not be permitted to return home or to their cars to get forgotten cap & gowns.

Important Dates/Events:
April 24th - Seniors will be called to the media center in groups of 10 by their last names. A short 10-15 second video will be made by each senior. Each senior may talk about their fondest memories at NSHS, who they are grateful and thankful for helping them get this far in life, etc.
April 25th - Senior Trip
April 30th - Permission slips for cap and gown parade must be turned in to Mrs. Moorefield or Mrs. Mabe
May 1 - Tickets go on sale in the media center for the Senior Banquet or may be purchased through cash online. Tickets will be $15 for each guest. Senior’s ticket is complementary, but must be picked up along with purchased tickets in the media center before the banquet. Tickets must be presented the evening of the banquet. Please see Mrs. Mabe if you have any questions regarding the senior banquet.
May 2nd - Cap and Gown Parade - must be at the school by 8:30
May 9th - Last Day to purchase tickets for Senior banquet
May 15th @ 6:00 - Senior Banquet
May 19th -
All Chromebooks and chargers must be turned into Mrs. Mabe. Check to make sure the charger and Chromebook numbers match!
All fees must be paid
May 22nd @ 8:30 - MANDATORY Graduation Practice - Bring your cap and tassel. You will be given tickets at practice in the event graduation has to be moved inside due to weather.
May 22nd @ 6:00 - GRADUATION!!! Meet in the lower lobby of A building at 6:00. Remember the dress code for graduation! No sunglasses
